You can also enhance a ceiling  so it will become more suitable for a kid’s taste. Do that by decorating it with some fluorescent (glowing in the dark) objects… They would enjoy looking at it while they are about to sleep in their beds. It would seem like they are stargazing…

But do not just stick with the design only!  Make sure to throw in things that could give a hand for their learning. These can be either books, charts or some “smart” toys for education. This way, your kid can have fun while learning!

Make use of pictures of your child’s sweetest family album moments. You can add photos taken while you were on a vacation, his or her activities in school. Or images from some competitions or contests they partook in… You can even create a whole separate accent wall using these photos. Frame them in various sizes!

Do not forget about the storage areas. These are essential for a kid’s bedroom in order to keep your kid’s things intact and in an appropriate place. Place misc areas for their toys, books and clothes. Train them to put everything back in place after they took it. Teach kids how to be organized.

Since your kids will surely crawl on the floor to play, put broadloom to keep their feet, knees, hands and other parts of the body safe from damages. Choose a rug or  a carpet a size of which will be appropriate for kid’s age. You can also use rubber mats in lieu of carpets.

To ensure that there’s enough light during the night, purchase a lampshade. It can also be beneficial as an added decoration for the bedroom. There are decorative lamps with very bright and unusual, fun shades which you can use for your child’s bedroom. But you can also buy plain lampshades and decorate it on your own!
